two things i need advice on

Postby hollow » Sun Jul 17, 2011 12:32 pm

rained here in uk all day yesterday ,we were at a football tournament and got soaked . jumped in pathy and tuned heated seats on , mine worked fine but passenger side base didnt seem to get warm .

electrical connections are all intact . I would have tested for current draw but have no idea which connector it is theres that many . has anyone ever stripped out the base of the seat to replace the seat pad or repair it ? as i could do with a guide .

other thing is when i got the pathy the brakes were pretty bad so changed all four disks and pads ,brakes are now better but when the fronts were changed (by me and my brother ) we noticed the brake pedal is very spongy and can be pushed to the floor . brakes have been bled but are no different . A search on the uk forum suggests this is normal , no car i have ever owned before has had NORMAL spongy brakes . is there a cure for this

oh one more thing i seem to have a leak on the rear diff ,looks like from one of the drive shafts ,no visible oil but there is a visible staining and more play on this side than the other .

Brakes have a firm pedal on mine. In fact, it's one of the better braking SUV's that I've owned. I had my mechanic do the pads on mine awhile back and it seems he said there was a particular order for bleeding that was a little different than normal? I think that was the Pathfinder anyway...might have been another car. Not normal anyway.
