Ultimate Lift Thread

Postby kevinthefro » Tue Nov 05, 2013 4:58 pm

Model year - 2010

Lift height: 2.25"

Type of lift: Suspension.

Brand: Radflo 2.0 shocks with 600# springs in front, PRG 2" Armada spacers with Airlift 1000 bags in rear.

How's the ride compared to stock - Firm but not harsh. Less sloppy.

How long have you had the lift installed - One month.

If you had to do it again would you change anything - I would get Fox instead of Radflo.

Problems you ran into - The Radflo clunk: If I had done more homework I would have known about it and avoided these shocks. They function OK, but the clunking has become like fingernails on a chalkboard. If you don't know what it is, Google "Radflo clunk".

The front LCA bolts were seized but Eric at Torrance Automotive Repair got them out by loosening, hammering and tightening repeatedly.

What brand/size rims/tires you're using - BFG TA KO 275/70 R18 Stock wheels.

You can tell I didn't disconnect the sway bars because wheel travel is limited.

Very nice. Those CO's are awesome.

Did you go with the 2.0" rear Armada spacers? I think you're the first person to use them vs the PUR 4x4 units. About how much do you have thiose cranked in front, and do you plan on getting the PRG UCA's?

Model year- 2005 LE

Lift height:1", 2", 3" etc....- 2" Up front a little lower in the back

Type of lift: suspension? body lift? or both? - Suspension

Brand: type of struts/springs used. Or type of spacer used, or both : Rancho quick lift loaded struts and spacers/Rancho RS9000XL Rear Shocks in back

Hows the ride compared to stock- Ride quality has improved greatly. A lot stiffer. Have both the front and rear ranchos set to 7

How long have you had the lift installed- A couple weeks

If you had to do it again would you change anything- No changes.

Problems ran into - Had to use a dremel to grind a few of the bolts of the top of the original struts. A lot of rust and bolts that were just spinning. If you take to a good alignment place you should have no problems. The back sits a little lower, will be adding the air lift soon to help level out. Also, had some fender trimming/melting to do.

what brand/size rims/tires your using- Fuel Octane Wheels 4.5 Backspace -5 Offset with 285/70/17 Goodyear Duratracs

Before with 32" tires:

After with 2" lift and 33" tires:

Compared Next to Stock LE. I am also slightly on a decline

OK so been looking thur and see that basically everyone has had to replace the camber bolts at some point so when I go to do my lift since I'm tearing other things apart I should go ahead and replace mine while I'm there ? And I'm planning on doing the full Rancho quick lift and new rancho shocks is rear and have been thinking of going with new springs I don't tow much if anything and just want lil more stiffness in rear so will this give me what I'm wanting on lift ?
