Hey guys and girls. I am looking at buying a 2010 V6 4x4 Pathfinder SE at a local dealership. I think I can get it at $18,990 out the door. It has approximately 60,000 miles on it. First, do you all think that is a decent deal and second does these cars have any problems I need to be aware of. We have a pop-up camper that we will tow but we only go camping about 4 times a year. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

welcome. just look it over really good so you have no surprises. the price seems fair compared to kbb.com. you can always try for more though.

After doing some more research on this site the transmission issue really scares me. I hate to know I'm buying a problem that is sure to happen especially since it already has 60,000 miles on it. Are there any SUV's that don't have a major flaw?

The info I saw said that the extended warranty was for up to the 2010 model does that mean if you buy a 2011 or 2012 which I think is still the same body style that problem was resolved? The pathfinder seems to be exactly what we are looking for since it has third row seats, 4wd and a nice towing capacity so I hate to rule it out but this issue sucks. Does the bypass hurt my towing capacity much? I'm towing a 1990 Jayco J Series 1206 which since its old its heavy. Here is the one I am looking at if this helps...

the bypass actually makes the trans fluid temp cooler. which is a good thing. the radiator acts like a trans fluid warmer for cold temps. you won't notice any difference at all.
