What you should all know about your Pathfinder

I actually own an '08 XTerra, but was travelling in Utah for a wedding this week. Enterprise set us up with a 2014 4x4 Pathfinder. We loved the car and drove it for 5 days. On the way to the airport to turn it in, we were struck in the rear corner in I-15 doing somewhere between 55-65mph. The hit spun the vehicle and pointed me off the freeway and into a ditch. When we left the pavement and hit the dirt, the vehicle flipped 3 times. The three members of my family, along with myself, were cut from the vehicle and basically walked away with bumps... bruises... pulled muscles... and lots of body aches. We are all alive because the Pathfinder did its job and basically fell on it's sword and died :-( I've never flipped a vehicle at 60mph (and never want to again)... but all of you Pathfinder owners should be very proud of your ride ;-)

Glad you and your family made it out. I actually live in Utah and think I remember reading about this incident. What day did it happen?

It was on Monday June 2nd at 4:50pm. I believe it tied up I-15 for around 2 hours. We didn't get out of the vehicle and into the ambulance until 5:35. It was near Bountiful. I've been trying to find it on Google maps, and think it was close to mile marker 626 headed South.

Well I've been looking for it and can't seem to find it. KSL.com is a great local website but so far no luck.

Glad you and the family are ok. Hope you don't have any lasting issues with your neck or back.

We tried to look it up ourselves. Family up there had also mentioned it being on the news. All we found was that horrible fatality from a few years ago, so we stopped looking. All are still pretty sore, but since there are no internal injuries, no broken bones, and my face wasn't slashed by the breaking glass... I feel very lucky and am thankful to the Pathfinder for protecting us.

I live in Utah also and I believe I read about this. Glad to hear you and your family came out remarkably unscathed. Glad you were all wearing seatbelts and the Pathy did its job.
