Good day all,

Just bought a 2005 pathfinder... looking forward to being a part
of the nissan group again! Used to drive a 1985 200sx and later on a
1993 altima, both were very good to me.

The Pathfinder has 95000km on it (in Canada). Its a SE Premium model,
sunroof, climate control, but no leather. Got a copy of the
maintenance record from the dealer, which is where it was purchased by
the original owner. It shocked me at how long the list was, however
most of the incidents were 'check for squeak/rattle when going over a
bump/at 2200 rpm' etc etc. This actually gave me some comfort as it
appeared the original owner was very attentive and got everything that
needed to get done on warranty happened.

The speedo was replaced at 39000km, apparently it just quit working.
However, no issues since then. Also, the 4WD propeller shaft was
replaced at 80000km. Is this a known issue? Or was the original
owner abusing the 4WD?

Price was $19900. Those from the US will probably have your eyes bug
out with this price. However, this is a really good price in Canada.
We were considering buying a US import, but the dealer really came
down on the price on this one, marked at $23900 orignally. 08
Pathfinders are available for about $24 - 28000 here (US Models), so I
think we found a decent trade-off between price and age.

Also included in the list were the Maintenance items done to it,
including synthetic transmission and transfer case oil. Is that
standard on these trucks?

All in all, a really nice driving sturdy truck. It will become our
weekend warrior, with the 2 civics (08 and 89) being our weekday work
commuters (140km per day).

Any pointers or things to watch out for on this truck?

Thanks
