Spanish based new owner of a 2005 Pathfinder LE

Hi All
Just bought a 2005 LE Diesel Manual transmission Pathfinder. I needed to replace an old Mercedes Benz E Class estate which was starting to show its age at 390000KM and nearly twenty years old. So it had to go and I was looking for a bigger vehicle as we do quite a bit of fetching and carrying and need a strong car. I think it will meet my needs, but, I'm a bit concerned that I might have to get the radiator checked out. Is the issue regarding the failed radiator likely to affect the manual gearbox models?
Gonna try and enjoy the Beast, we drove it back home about 100km and it drives nicely, really comfortable and sounds good. Of course, I'm a bit paranoid that I can smell coolant outside the car so I'll give it a check tomorrow and see if I can see anything.
