Hello from the Northeast USA. Just purchased a 2012 S, V6, 2wd, 1 owner 46,000 miles. Replacing a 2002, F-150 flareside 4x4, 230,000 miles which has served me well for almost 11 years. Looking forward to a long and happy relationship with the Pathfinder. I had been looking at 2013-15 model years until I realized they are fwd. I do some towing and prefer rwd and a full frame vehicle for that.

With that thought I have a question already.

According to the VIN my Pathfinder was built in September 2011 in Smyrna. Should I be concerned about the leaky radiator, transmission failure problem I've read about? Does anyone know if my vehicle will be susceptible to the problem. If so I'm willing to take the necessary steps to prevent it.

I have a picture not sure how to add it.[/i]

your 2012 should be fine regarding the radiator issue.

Thank you for the reply. That's quite a trailer you have behind your truck. Length, weight, V6 or V8? How does it haul?

I have a 2005 V6 4x4.

The trailer is a 2008 Keystone Passport 280BH. Its 8' wide, 10'3" tall, 32' from hitch to bumper, plsu another 2ft for bikes. 4600lbs dry, axles max out at 6050lbs.

I live in the flats here, you can watch your dog run away for 3 days here on the prairie. We pull it between 50 and 200 miles in one shot, and the Pathy has never skipped a beat. I don't know if I would go much further than that, but with a WDH it is actually a pretty decent towing experience. We have thoughts to meet up with family in Saskatchewan next summer, which would be about 400 miles or so one way.

Thanks Terry. Very impressive. My trailer is a cargo trailer, GVWR of 3000lbs, about 15 ft long. Never had any issue with the F-150 was hoping the same would be true with this truck.

Eric
