Just today purchased a 1988 2 door Pathfinder. I got it /very/ cheap and it's rusty, but it was purchased for winter beater duties and the occasional errand requiring the extra space. I'm going to have to do some work to it to get it up to my level of snuff (things like the turn signals not working and the parking brake cable being broken and the headlights being all loose and what not) but mechanically, it seems to work just fine.
