The Nissan Path

Hi,

Just bought my 07 and everything at the mechanics checked out. Wife told me today while going around to get into the side and thought she smelled rotten eggs. Not a big wiff, but definitely could smell it. I went around back and smelled it as well, but I had to get down and do the "cupping" test (put my schnoz up next to the tail pipe and cup my hand around the exhaust coming out).

How long are cats lasting in these things? Anyone ever done a "universal" cat from a garage on one of these? I did on my Camry and never had a problem.

Any ideas/solutions/suggestions would be great and helpful.

I had the same smell you do. At 54K the passenger side cat went out and then at 72K the drivers side cat went out. They are covered to 80K miles here in Arizona (each state has different emissions warranties from what I understand) so they were replaced for free.
