Hi Everyone,

Just got my first Nissan, a 2008 Pathfinder LE V8 with 29k miles. I have only had it a couple days and it's awesome. It will need a new set of tires ASAP. It is my daily driver to work plus beach duty for finding the fish as I'm an avid surf angler.

I traded a 2008 Volvo XC90 for the Pathfinder. The volvo didnt last long because I repeatedly got stuck in the soft thick sand, the AWD didn't cut it. Even with airing down the tires. Before that a carmy and even earlier, my favorite, a 1999 Durango. The Durango did everything but didnt last more that 120k miles, shot tranny, head gaskets, and leaking everywhere.

I know this thread is worthless without pics!

Welcome to the forum. You will love your V8 Pathfinder. We have very similar rides. I bought my 08 last year with 18k miles and in a year we put on 20k. We've loved it that much. Load your pictures to a photo hosting site like photobucket and copy and paste the link here to view pictures.

There's something about those running boards that doesn't look right to me. Will probably take them off. And those tires are terrible, all dryrotted. I will most likely get some BFG AT, not sure of the size to get. Bigger is better right?

welcome!

running board colors are not matching the overall general look of the vehicle.
for bigger tyres, depending on how big, u may want to invest in a hot air gun to push those bumper shrouds out a bit for no rubbing

I agree about the running boards. My wife still drives our Pathfinder alot so I can't remove my boards yet. I do agree, you need some better tires. I went with the goodyear wrangler duratracs on some frontier 17 inch rims. they are a 31 inch tire, with no rub and have been great.
