I used two different GPS in my 2012 PF and both of them show a difference of 3 miles per hour slower than the speedomter. Has anyone had a problem the the speedometer being off?

yes. i've had the same issue on Altima, Tiida, Xterra, and my pathfinder.
seems to be a Nissan thing.
i got bigger tires on the pathfinder and it made a very minor difference.

Thanks for the information, guess I'll take it to a shop and have the speedometer checked.

i personally just ignored it, but if you're gonna check, you might want to have a look at the odometer as well in case its following the speedo and not the actual distance covered.
my speedo reads 62 when im actually doing 59
so when i hit the 62,000 miles, i had only done 59,000.
might be worth taking it up to Nissan for extension on warranty?

What you stated is the main reason I want to have the system check. The other problem with the speedometer/odometer being off is that I'm getting less gas mileage than calculated and that would be a EPA no, no against Nissan.

This is normal in many cars actually. I've had the same result in other vehicles. I don't think the odometer is affected

MyVW Jetta did the same thing, 3mph faster speedo than actual speed.
The odometer was correct, it did not work off the speedo information.
I think they do it on purpose.

Federal standards in the United States allow a maximum 5 mph error at a speed of 50 mph on speedometer readings
