The Mrs. and I are expecting #2 (boys) and have been shopping for a while. We were almost ready to buy a Quest when the 2012 Pathfinders went on sale. I mean an insane 35% off sticker price. We took a test drive separately and came to the same conclusion, this was the way to go! Bought it 2 nights ago and it was the last 2012 on the lot.
So as typical Americans, our first trip was to Costco and loaded it up with stuff and there was plenty of room to spare even with the stroller back there. I've only had small cars my whole life and this is an entirely new world of driving. I've always admired the Pathfinder since riding in my friend's 1992 version to the ski slopes so many years ago. As the 2012 is the end of the truck based Pathfinder it was my last chance to own a "real" one...
Is it bad that we got this as a minivan alternative? How about the fact that its basically my wife's car (for shopping and future school dropoffs and soccer games)? Does it sound better if I also plan to use it for camping, fishing and skiing?
