New owner, old ride!

Howdy!
I hail from Canada in a li'l ol town near Kamloops BC. I just picked up a '95 Pathfinder with a few miles on her, but she is real purdy.
My plan is to re-build her tired power plant which is ticking and groaning from time to time, and restore her dignity and former glory. I have always loved these trucks, and a deal fell in my lap that I could not pass up.
I am particularly interested in getting a feel for what gurus are doing to eke out a bit more top-end power. (What dwell and lift on cams? What fuel tweaks, and be still my beating heart.... any "Stroked" VG30E's out there?)
As the saying goes, it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth (or press "send") and remove all doubt, so I shall be lurking and absorbing. Some days I am stupid enough to have my own telethon, so please go easy on me
Ciao!
The apoplectic one....
