Thinking about getting a pathfinder

I want the 2005+ model but I know that they are highly unreliable cars (SMOD) but I believe Nissan corrected/flushed out the issues by the 2008 model... Can someone shed light/ confirm that?

If I had a chance I would choose a 4runner over the path... I have mine and I decided to keep it until I own it all the way. At 12k miles the CAS went bad and had to replace the entire engine ( per Nissans request and warrant) and the engine shake pisses me off.. but decent off road capabilities and what not.

Pathfinder all the way! can't trust Toyota and the Nissan is more reliable and an all around better built machine.
