What type of glue is it? I've heard people say peanut butter will remove some glues. Personally, I would try gasoline, turpentine or benzine(petroleum ether). I've had success with the aforementioned, but it depends on the type of glue. Test on a small section first by dabbing it with a whetted cloth. and then rubbing it off.

try some WD-40
more volatile chemicals may damage plastics (or catch fire!)

Goo Gone might work, what definitely will work is a label remover spray that you can get at any auto supply store.
