I’m looking at a 2004 Murano to buy later...

Asking price is $2200 and owner claims “newly rebuilt transmissionâ€. I’ve been reading up on these CVT’s.

142,000 miles

My question is, will this be reliable if he can prove that it was serviced correctly?

I’m not expecting perfection, but wondering if I can expect a decently reliable vehicle showbox.bio/ tutuapp.uno/ vidmate.vet/ for the price. I would be taking money not spent on a more expensive car and saving it.

Is this at all advisable or not really?

Thanks!

I don't trust any Nissan CVT. Some manufacturers have decent CVT's, like Subaru and Honda, but Nissan is not one of them, unfortunately. Sometimes they last a long time without issues and sometimes they don't. There really is no way to tell. That said, the Murano is, overall, a pretty decent vehicle...but the engine and transmission are a bit of a pain to work on, IMO.
