This was saved from the Nissan site recently, but can't find the picture anymore. Anyhow, here's a quick evolution of the Pathfinder.

Here are some sales figures over the years to go with the pictures as well - http://carsalesbase.com/us-car-sales-da ... athfinder/

I actually haven't voted yet. I like the looks of all of them to be honest, but I'm tempted to vote for the R50 as well. It rides nice (probably cause the unibody), is pretty capable off road, and has minimal gadgetry to mess with. It hasn't aged too well looks wise in my opinion, but honestly, I don't care lol.

I went with the WD21. It was such a statement vehicle for Nissan when it came back, since the last time they had anything like it would be the Nissan Patrol which stopped being sold in the US somewhere around 1969. Having just been released after the Hardbody, you look at the Nissan vehicles at the time and the 720 and earlier pickups and you can see why it was so different. It would be years before the Xterra would come and take its place as the "Off-road" offering from Nissan and the Pathfinder would start evolving into the "soccer mom" vehicle that it's become, today.

Hey SMJ, I get that comment. What I found interesting is if you actually look at the terrain in the background, it changes per body style over the years. Either they were going with trends or pushing a trend. The "box" style ends as well which is unfortunate. I like the boxy look.
