When did Nissan change the V-6 from belt driven camshafts to chain driven?

I think the 05's were the first to get the chains. The 3.5's still have belts if I remember right.

My wife has a 99 maxima with a 3.0 DOHC v-6 that uses a timing chain.
This motor was available starting 95. The SOHC version of the same era used a belt.

timing chain

correct statement for single cam trucks, my I30 like the maxima has a VG30DE and is chain driven. When nissan has a single cam on a v6 it will usually have a belt. The dual cams require chains as they are more complex.
