My in-laws bought my 16 year old son a 1999 4x4 Isuzu Trooper. I have zero experience with Isuzu vehicles. It only has about 108k miles on it, they figured it would be a good vehicle for his lifestyle (i.e. football, hunting, fishing,...)

Any words of wisdom, other than don't get it? It's already a done deal; a deal I had nothing to do with.

the troopers are sweet, I had a 96 Rodeo and if it wasn't totaled by being hit from behind I think I would still have it. You should check out zutah.com, its a Utah isuzu forum but its got a lot of info, Im on the board, except I go on there when I head back towards Utah to see when a trail run is going.

My family owned a 1994 Isuzu Trooper since 1995 all the way to 2009. When we finally sold the Isuzu it was only because I needed a SUV for long travels. Around town driving it would have been fine and when we sold it we sold it to our neighbor. So now my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder sits right next to my other older baby in the next driveway. It was like a family heirloom that got passed down to me finally when I started college. That thing is built like a tank. Mechanically the Isuzu will outlived many other foreign vehicles but everything on the inside started giving me trouble. These troubles included the power windows stopped working, the stereo caught on fire and the A/C fails at life. Electronically the Isuzu will make you cry sooner or later but like I said earlier it will last forever. I always had a good time with that truck. :D
