Extended Waranty ??

Though i see if anyone else in the same position as me.
So i bought my Truck in Buffalo (US) and live in Toronto (CAN) and i bought with it the extended waranty for 75kMiles/5yrs. Now i recently went to the dealer to have my heat sheild replaced but they advised me that the extended waranty only work ing in the US and not in Canada. Visa vera for ppl who buy cars in CAN and live in the US.
Anyone else know if this is true? Going to call the West Herr dealer this week to rain down a bit for hell as to why they would sell me a extended waranty clearly knowing i lived in CAN.....
