Replacing side mirror

Hi. I'm trying to replace my passenger-side side mirror. I ordered a replacement mirror, and thought I was ready to go. Got the old mirror hanging off right now, but still connected to the wires. The wires on my new mirror stop at a plastic fitting. However, when I look at my old mirror's wires, they got for a while, then are wrapped in foam, and then when the foam ends, it's just uncovered wires. Is there a piece that can "unplug" hiding under the foam? Or do I need to get it rewired? Sorry... not technical here, but figured it would be simple enough. Maybe not...
Any insight or advice? Thanks!

If you unwrap the foam there should be a plug under there.

If you want to replace your passenger-side side mirror, I suggest you check Bob's Antique mirrors. I've tried using this one and I'm quite satisfied with the quality.

Maybe it will be more convenient to let it check by a reputable repair shop to make sure it is well fixed ;)
