Car shuts off while driving

had a problem the other day that's cropped up a couple times. Driving down the road, car shut off (completely) & then a couple seconds later started back up. Then it did it again at an intersection, this time it shut down and seemed completely dead, wouldn't even turn over as if the battery was dead. I got out & popped the hood & thought it was a battery problem or something but the clock worked, the headlights worked etc. I wiggled the battery cables and when manipulating the positive line heard a crackle, got back in and the car started back up, no problems since.
Anyone have a clue what that could be? Any help would be appreciated.

There is an IPDM recall about an issue similiar to yours, but its hard to tell. Post up your vehicle info.

Sounds like a possible loose connection at the battery. Try cleaning the contacts real well and clamping them down so they don't move.
