The Nissan Path

I am currently looking at buying my first pathfinder and i would appreciate your input:

1) 1996 pathfinder 2wd, manual windows/locks etc. V6, auto with 163,000 miles. tan in color

2) 1994 pathfinder 4x4, (with auto wheel lockers) V6, auto with 165,000. black in color.

both are on craigslist and i am looking at both on monday. like i said before any help sure would be appreciated since this is my first path.

Welcome.

1st you have to decide what you plan to do with your Pathfinder. I personally never look at a 2wd. 4x4 only for me. 2nd those are 2 different body styles. Have you decided which style you like better. This club has the body styles in different sections, you might go look in both areas and see which style better fits you.

I am torn.....i want a 4x4 but i like the 2wd also........i guess i will make my decision after i inspect and drive both paths......

i will let you know what i decided.

Yes i'm currently stationed at Mt. Home. However I'm currently deployed. Lucky enough to have internet and be able to chat with family etc.

I second mar1. But seriously the only thing I regret about my pathfinder is the lack of 4wd. I should have looked for one but insurance goes through the roof out here in Hawaii too many Crawler holes here.

I purchased my very first nissan product.......a 1996 nissan pathfinder. of course i bought it to replace my 1992 s10 blazer and my wife fell in love with it and claims that's her suv.....so i guess i have lost it already.......

now i have found me a 1996 nissan hardbody xe king cab 4x4, i'm looking at it this weekend.

You ever decide on one? Hands down for me wouldve been the black 4x4.

What's a "crawler hole"?

If it's just a grocery go-getter and commuter car, then the 2x2 would be fine. I would think you'd get a little better mileage too. But if you live in snow country or go camping or driving down dirt or gravel roads, then a 4x4 would be good. I would probably just go for the 4x4 because you never know when you'll need it.
