replaced alternator and it still drains power from battery. Is there something I need to do to get it to work right? :(

How do you know its the alternator?

My 85 200sx was notoriously hard to tension, due to the pulley being to slick. Try either replacing the alt pulley or roughing it up some with sand paper.

I haven't worked on the 99 before, does it have an auto tensioner? If so, is it too weak to get proper tension? You may need to replace. not an expensive repair...
