is the battery on a 2007 pathfinder grounded?
trying to jump start my wifes 2012 equinox. her manual is very explicit that the jumping battery must be ground. Judge by appearance, it doesnt appear to be.

Can any one with more knowledge confirm?

thanks!

Ground is the same thing as Negative/Black on basically all cars. So do positive on the red terminal and negative on some solid metal, like the shock tower bolts or something like that.

In truth it's only the last of the 4 connections that matters, because it will spark, and they don't want that next to the battery because the charging process can product hydrogen which can go boomie... :P

Since the negative cable uses the voltage sensor built into it, I would install the ground-side jumper cable to the Pathfinder's engine or chassis, rather than the connection on the negative battery post.
