Clutch Pedal 'clicking'

hey gang. total noob here..had my 99 3.0 maybe a couple weeks now, and just today after work I notice every time I depress the clutch pedal..between applying pressure and it tensing up a clicking noise. everytime. Internet not very helpful so I decided to sign up. any ideas?
