2014 Pathfinder XM Radio help

Hey guys new here!
just bought a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder this weekend.
Im trying to get the XM radio to work but it says no signal???
DO I have to call and activate it or do I need an adapter to make it work?
Radio is the non navigation with screen and Bluetooth.
