The Nissan Path

Hello there!

I'm the proud owner of a 2006 Pathfinder. I finally put an aftermarket head unit in it in order to get an Auxillary Jack. And it works great, especially with new Pioneer speakers in all four doors.

However somehow, the lights on the 3 HVAC knobs do not work. They all work fine, including the 3 buttons (AC, Defrost, recirculate), however with the lights on (Dash gauges are OK) there's NO backlighting on the knobs.

I've checked the connections. I can't figure out which fuse it might be, but considering it all works great, I don't think that's it.

Any inside into this predicament before it goes to the dealer? It's still under warranty...

I had a similar outcome with my 1997 XE after swapping the factory stereo out. I still have knob lights, but the recirc and AC switches no longer light up. They still function, just no light.

Can't seem to figure this out either....
