big 3?

Has anybody performed big 3 electrical upgrade to your pathfinder? I'm about to start installing amps in 2007 pathfinder. If you have can you post step by step how you did it, pics would he great too.
I am having trouble locating the negative to groung from the battery, the alternator to battery and the engine to chassis ground/ connection. Where is the alternator located?
