The Nissan Path

I am an electronics engineer who likes to modify whatever I come across. Has anyone ever tried putting a composite video signal to the backup camera screen? Essentially substituting the backup camera signal for a regular video signal? I would really like to be able to view other things than just radio station and junk like that? I want to try it but just wondering if anyone else has?

i got a techie to tap into the camera signal and installed a GPS and a DVD player with a relay to switch between the two.
