Wanted to try and get some crossbars, see if someone on the forum possibly had some to sell before I get them online. I'm in Columbus, GA for shipping purposes.

Found mine online for $150.00 for the two bars and that included shipping.

Just picked up a pair locally. Here is what I did (not a joke). I looked around at the cars that people drive in the same places that I frequent. I happened to notice one family that I ran into regularly drove the same body style Pathfinder. Theirs was equipped with the cross rails. I approached them politely and said that I was interested in the cross rails on their truck as I have the same vehicle. Then politely asked if they would consider selling them to me if they did not use them. Surprisingly the answer was, "we don't use them, make us an offer." I offered $150, they accepted, I had the tools with me, took them off, installed them on my truck and we were off.

Crazy perhaps, but you don't know unless you ask. Good luck. I called around to a lot of auto recycling yards with no luck. The dealer wanted about $425 for all of the parts! That's crazy.

Nice work. Can't hurt to ask and if they said NO you were in the same situation you were in to start.

So funny that you say that, there is another pathfinder in my apartment complex one building over that has them. I mentioned to my husband that we should leave a note on their windshield asking them if we could buy them off their truck and he told me I was nuts. But now I think I will do it.... haha. Worst they can do is say no!

No harm in asking. Good luck. Hope it works out for you.
