about 10 months in the making.. we finally got to test our VW Corrado we've been building up.. its 99% done... and will be 100% for our first track day on Friday.. for the time being, this is just a toy..not built up under any specific rules..just for time trialing..

we dragged it out of Brooklyn to a stadium lot in north jersey for testing before we hit the track..

the car went from this..

to a shell..

its a 90 VW Corrado g60 with a 95 Passat vr6 swapped in... let's see..highlights.. B&G Coilovers, Wilwood Calipers, 11" rotors, custom aluminum dash, Autopower roll bar (for now), Corbeau seat, custom aluminum seat brackets, gutted interior, 95% of the factory wiring is gone, Atomic Motorsports rear sway bar, Eurosport camber plates... that's all I can think of at the moment..

And you said it wouldn't be worthy of waterfest. It looks like a very good exhibition car, plus an autocross competitor.

Looks like nice super light weight Kosei K1 Racing rims right? What kind of rubber?

ok...maybe it'll be at Waterfest this year... we'll see :)

wheels are Kosei's.. tires are some really really really worn BFG R1's that came on the wheels..so we figured we'd use em til they were really really really really worn..haha...

we actually had our first track day on friday at Lime Rock Park...my first time there...an awesome track! i took it easy..it was my first time in this car and my first time in a fwd car on the track (used to my awd a4) and first time on R compound tires.... my partner was not so timid and spun the car about 4 times..haha... but the car handled awesome.. rear end was way too tight (hence the spins) and once we spent some time adjusting the sway bar and the rebound on the struts.. the car performed great...and was way way faster than we expected :) i will have some pics/vids very soon!

Looking good man, i Have an mk2 16v Gti but i have all ways loved the Corrado. Was thinking about putting a vr6 in it after my last 16v blew. But its a toss up between the 1.8t with a k04 and the Vr-T :D
