The family is packing up the buggy this weekend and driving from Northern Ontario to Lower Mainland of BC. As many of you probably heard on the news, Southern Alberta has just experienced some biblical flooding, with the Trans Canada Hwy washing out in many spots.

The initial route was Calgary / Canmore / Banff, with a hotel booked in Canmore. It looks like we may take the Crows Nest route through the Okanagan, hugging the US border, if things prove to be impassable or still closed. The other option we are considering is the Edmonton / Jasper route which surprisingly only adds 150 km according to Google.

If there are any Southern Albertans with first hand knowledge and or advice: Your input would be much appreciated!
