The Nissan Path

Was able to go fishing out of Bamfield, off the west coast of Vancouver Island. Didn't have a snorkel, on the Pathy so had to take a boat.

Wow! Nice salmons

We took the truck to BC as well, but got by without a snorkel. Our fishing was a bit different too:

I actually bought a salmon tag for the Vedder River, but had to leave the day the run was starting

Thanks! No, that Cutthroat came from a creek near Fernie. Not exactly road trip related, but I discovered a river near me which had a batch of brown trout released in the 80's. They are apparently thriving:

Landed a 30" male there last week, only to discover the camera batteries were dead, lol.

I've heard many great things about the Tyee Lodge! Some day...

I really like it around Fernie, I am there three to four times a year, on my way to the mines. Never stopped to fish, but might have now.

Hit a surface "popper". I guess nobody told the trout that it's a bass fly .
