Just wondering if anyone has changed out their steering stabilizers after lifting their pathy? I don't really have a problem with the stock stabilizers, but just handling wise I can tell it is a slight strain on them especially when taking bumps on a curve

You mean the sway bar? Stock is very stout, so perhaps maybe an upgrade to the end links and stabilizer bushings might help.

I got rid of my sway bar since this is not really an on road vehicle, and even with my lift and tires, it's not terribly bad on road.

Steering stabilizers are usually reserved for solid axle vehicles, but I have seen some sued on early 90's 4Runners and newer model full size Chevy's.

We would obviously need 2, 1 per control arm.

Ok, I was thinking the sway bar was the stationary bar that bolts to a double ball joint, keeping the tires in place, which is what I disconnected in order to get my struts out, while the stabilizers were the piece that that ran to the top of the c joint. Am I wrong? Haha I may have just had my mind on stabilizers tho. I was changing one yesterday in my uncle's silverado. I see what you did tho, you re running a setup like the one I had on my rock crawling jeep before I sold it. I bought it the way it was and saw that the sway bar was gone and replaced by a two shock system like that to let the axle flex a little more. All I have an issue with really is sometimes if I take a heavy bump, my tires will kind of shimmy until I check it with a quick wheel jerk
