lower ball joint replacement

hey guys my front lower ball joints are going bad. I assume the previous owner never did anything to the car so everything as in screws and bolts are a pain in the ass to take out. Im stuck at the part where you separate the hub from the lower ball joint, it was hard enough to take out the screw that connects it together, its like seized or rusted and I cant get it to come off. can someone please give me some pointers?
