Which Pathfinder do I have???

I have a 2009 Pathfinder SE.
Is it Rwd or 4wd?
I know I can make it go to 4x4 if I switch the dial. Or 4x4 low. By default it has power only in the rear wheels.
Reason being is that I am upgrading my shocks and struts (just passed 150k miles) - bilstein has different ones for RWD and 4WD.

I got the following:
2 of BILSTEIN 24186919 B6 4600 - Rear; RWD
2 of BILSTEIN 24137430 B6 4600 - Front; RWD
Yay or nay?

If you have the 4wd dial, then you have the 4wd version.
These are the part numbers for the 4wd according to Rockauto
Rear: 24197434
Front: 24197427
I can't find any information on the difference. Honestly, if it costs you money to return them, I would just run the ones you have.

Weight difference is huge...? Mistake on the Newparts?
Bilstein website is useless for information...
Also the lower mount type for one is 14mm and another 14.1mm....

Which is not what I ordered... Dang it! Thx Underworld.
The only real difference i see is the eye diameter on them. I got 14mm and the ones you have are 14.1mm.

Bilstein was no help - I asked for data sheets or a summary of differences between RWD and 4WD shocks/struts and here's their response:
I’d be happy to assist you. These are the part #’s you want to use on your 2009 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4wd (4X4). 24-197427 & 24-197434.
RWD is just that, only your rear wheels drive. If your 2009 Nissan Pathfinder is RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) you would use different shocks. 24-137430 & 24-186919 for RWD.

So there you go guys - I dont even know why we have the option for Rear wheel drive only pathfinders - I guess this is a cheap European/Asian model...

If I had a RWD, I'd put the 4x4 ones on there anyway. In the rear, the spring and shock are separate so doesn't matter which one you get. Considering stock the R51 likes to twerk over hard bumps, I'd go for the 4x4 ones. I'd upgrade the springs too in the rear. They're cheap and really easy to swap out. Don't forget to get a pair of spring cushions. They're cheap too. Most people don't replace them, but I do. Figured the stock ones were beat up.

Good advice... I got tow a whole bunch of stuff last year and had the airlift installed years ago. Regularly I keep them at about 15psi.
Towing I pushed them up to 30. Maybe excessive...

They probably have different travel lengths and valving due to the slightly increased ride height and weight of the 4x4 (about .5 inches).
I get annoyed when it's difficult to find technical data from companies.

Just an update...
Don’t make your mechanic miserable - don’t just buy the front struts. Get the whole assembly or at least all the new parts.
I had to buy new spring seats... which do not fit properly - drove with new struts around clunking for days...
all good now.
I should have bought the entire Bilstein assemblies for the front.
