Steering wheel floppy drive

We had the upper portion of the steering column replaced today. While driving the 06 Path the steering wheel would go from nice and firm to wobbling in any direction. Very random. It was not associated with the tilt.
I had dropped it off at the dealer near home and they could not make it happen. While driving on the weekend I figured out that when going over a speed bump or curb entrance into a driveway it would either dislodge or stiffen up. I showed the tech while test driving and it replicated so he now understood. He was shocked to see it happen like that.
I asked them to save the old column so I could see and so I can post a picture of the broken part(s). I will try to post some pictures tonight.

I seriously thought I was about to read a thread about how you installed a computer's floppy drive into your steering wheel....

That would suck because I just threw away some floppies I found in the attic last month.

if i understood correctly, i had a similar situation with the wobble.

Nissan changed both front shocks which reduced it drastically, then changed upper control arms and now its driving perfect.

hope this helps in ur diagnose.
