I just ordered H&R lowering springs and should get them next week. I will post before and after picks, along with measurements.

Billy T put them on his '08 V8 model in Sept of '08, if anyone is interested in his experience...

I should get my springs this week.

Here are the height measurements at all 4 wheels. I measured from the ground up to the edge of the wheel opening, with my yard stick dead center of the wheel.


(Note: Dont pay attention to the measurement seen, my Pathy was not parked level at the time of the pic.)

LF- 33 3/4" RF- 33 3/4"

LR- 34 1/8" RR- 34 1/4"

I wish H&R just made regular springs that dont sag. I have the Airlift bags and the bags no longer hold air.

Looking for a permanent solution to a droopy rear end (the truck's not mine)

A little tip when you get to the rear suspension and you're replacing the spring, loosen up the bolt on the pivot side of the arm. The bushings can only stretch so far. I think I overextended mine and the bushings tore when I did my rear springs. It may not be too bad on a lowering spring but look out for it anyways.

I got the springs today. Here they are.



Maybe I will get them put in over the weekend.

I put the rear springs in tonight. They were easy. Thanks pawjr for the advise... loosening that pivot arm bolt made it even easier.

Look at the oem rear springs next to the H&R's. I should get a ton of improved handling. There are almost twice as many coils on the H&R's!



Initial measurements show a rear drop of exactly 1 inch. The H&R springs are rated to drop the rear 1.8 inches. There are at least a couple of things to consider here... First, my Pathy has 125K miles on the original springs so I am sure they are sagging a little. Secondly, the new springs may need to settle in a bit after some miles.

Front springs will go in Sunday, hopefully.

Guess you guys in this topic could answer my questions. I've had my 2006 pathy for about a month now, and I noticed that it really rocks back and forth(side to side) quite bad. Man if I were to make a sudden turn I bet it would roll on it's side. Would these springs help?

Yes, the springs help amazingly with body roll. I feel like I could take this thing thru a slalom course now.

Springs are in. I cant begin to describe to you how much better my Pathy feels now. The springs changed the way it feels for cornering, braking, acceleration... I can even feel a difference in the steering. It all feels much better. There is more control, even at the point of losing traction, or breaking the rear tires loose.

Definately get the alignment re-done after making a change like this. All 4 wheel specs were pretty far off after changing the springs.

Interesting... the front end doesnt show a measurable height change. Yet, it looks right comparing front to rear.

What shocks did you use with these? Stock?

They are still the stock shocks for now. I am going to put KYB's on it when I change them.

I shopped online to find the best price, including the shipping, and paid $261.40. I ordered them from racetechperformance.com

So how do you like them??

I love the handling. A bit disappointed as far as the front lowering (measured 1/8 of an inch drop). I will probably be cutting some dead coil off to get the front down about an inch. Billy T had cut 1 1/2 coils off the front to achieve what he wanted on his V8 Path. I am going to try 1/2 to 1 full coil.
