something to think about if you go with bigger tires on stock rims....

some tire places will give you grief if your rim (i have 18in x 7.5in) is not big enough for the specs on the tires.

at least that what my local discount tire did. ended up pulling a favor from a friend of a friend that worked there to get my bfg 285/65/18's put on. tire spec said 8in min width on rim...

I think the 265/75/16's that I am running come in just under 32". They fill up the fender pretty good. You might have to do the fender melt mod with a heat gun to get rid of a little rubbing but the 33" tires should fit.

would the fender melt mod be only for the front? does anybody know what the equivalent to a 33'' inch tire would be when applied to our trucks? I mean like what the sidewall should say 285?/??/R16 Sorry I'm not well studied when it comes to tires and tire sizes

The size that doctahjones has on his (and a few others on this forum have as well) is a 33" x 11" tire.
They're big, but they fit!

Yes they fit on the stock LE rims.

@Doc - mine says 32.6 x 11.1 (sect width not tread width).
So yours would actually be 32.7 x 11.5! 8)
BIGGER IS BETTER!
