body (not suspension) lift kits?

so i did some looking, but i'll admit i didn't put -alot- of effort into it...

but i was going to replace my body mounts to see if that will get rid of that last little sway and brake dive i get. they're relatively cheap (~20 each), and looks like it takes 5x per side (3 different part numbers).

so i was thinking if i'm going to replace all of these, why not go 1-2in taller with the mount?

however i'm having a hell of a time trying to find a 1-2in. i did find a 3in on 4x4parts.com for $375, but i'm not sure i want to go that tall on a body lift.

any one see any small body lift kits out there?

Try PRG products, they have a .5", 1"and 2" body lift for Pathfinders

those are suspension lift kits, not body lift. all those spacers go on the front strut towers and rear springs.

i'm looking for taller than stock body mounts, similar to this:

Sorry, I saw body lift, in your subject title and I thought that is what the spacers do. They lift the body without changing the suspension. I may have seen what your looking for, just can't remember where. I'll look around and see if I can find it.

went to the casino the other day, walked out with $250. would have been $350 but we stayed an extra hour for some prize drawing we didn't end up winning.

so now i AM thinking about doing the 3in body lift from 4x4parts.com.

i've sent them an email to get a copy of the install instructions to see just what's involved. something about a relocation brackets for front and rear bumper, and stock skid plate (i assume they mean piece of plastic that 'looks' like a skid plate. ha).

anyone have any other intel on this lift?

You may have to have special brackets made for your supersliders as they will stay in their original position - 3" lower.

Also wondering if the kit can be cut down for only a 1 or 2 inch body lift??

huh? nah, i'll just raise the height of the sliders. they'll bang up another 3 inches. i know because i disco'd them from the frame (not the body seam) and banged them up when i swapped out the front couple of body mounts. then i just have to redrill the frame bolt holes and i'm good. well that and somehow plug the old frame holes. i could probably find some rubber grommets to go in there.

I am wondering the same. Maybe a 1.5".

lol, maybe two of you can buy it and cut it in half and both get 1.5in. not sure what you'd do about the new bolts though

LOL actually not a bad idea except for the brackets that hold the bumbers on. If i could see all the parts it came with, we could fab something up! BTW I think Lowes sells grade 8 bolts of all sizes!

3" body lift is a terrible idea, weakens the mount and looks like shit (everyone can see your frame, and knows it a cheap shitty lift).

1" is less scary, easier to work on drivetrain and helps clear tires.

That said geometry/bracket lifts are just as bad and way more expensive, get 2" out of some 5100 lift struts and a 1" BL if you need to clear big tires.

Glass fenders would be sweet.

Ive got the 2 inch lift already just looking to go higher. was considering the 5 inch lift but its up in the air body lift or calimini lift

2in body or suspension? if body, where did you get it? i'd be down for a 2in vs 3in on body only.
