Hey does anyone know of a video that explains how to disassemble the rear differential of a R51? Thanks

Are you gutting it, ring gear, bearings, etc? Or just swapping diffs? The former is a lot more involved than the latter. But, since all diffs are fairly the same design, any diff rebuild/gear swap YT vid should be a good starting point. The guys over on the older Z forums (Z32, etc) share the same diffs as ours (V6 & V8) and they've done a lot of research/gutting/re-gearing, etc. Check HybridZ Forum.

Thanks. I'm changing out the spider gears only. But you have to take everything apart just to do that. What a pain in the a$$

was it a specific event that caused your spider gear to fail? Nasty... makes me want to go change my diff fluid.

I have no idea. There were no signs of slippage or noise. All I did was change fluid and found eight chips of the spider gears. It drive absolutely fine.

Might as well upgrade to the R230. I got mine fairly cheap used with 30k miles.

Externally it looks better than the one it replaced and has been fine since last February.

If you've got 3.36's, you'll need a unit from the Armada with the tow package, but all you need to do is change the ABS sensors from your current unit to the new unit.
