I have a pathfinder here in Australia with the YD25 motor and was thinking about a V8 swap. What is the difference between the V6 and V8 models you guys have in the US? Is there any length difference is the car to allow for the V8.
Does anybody have any overall measurements from the 2 so I can determine what model we have here in Aus?

I think I have answered one of my own questions. We have the V6 in Aus so guessing it will be the same size as the US V6. IS there any difference in US V6 and V8 in dimensions to fit the larger motor?

The V8 became available in the US for model year 2008, which was also when the released a mild refresh. Some of the exterior changes include a slightly different front end which I understand was necessary to fit the V8. The change was mainly to the shape of the grille/hood/headlamps/bumper. Probably only a few inches in all.
I would think it wouldn't be difficult to physically make the swap. The electronics would be the most challenging part. The rear differentials are also different.

Skinny is right. The engine compartments in the 2008+ are the same in the V6 and the V8. In fact, both use the same radiator, which mounts in the same place for both.
Keep in mind that the V8 does have some differing rear end components as well as different transmission gearing.

For the record, the Diesel Pathy’s overseas have the same rear diff as the V8 (R230, vs the R200), but a different ratio (3.54 vs 2.94). Also, the front diff is different too, M205, vs the R180A.
