Sharp turns in 4x4...?

Well I have an 06 Pathfinder OFF-ROAD edition and the 4x4 works great but when trying to do a sharp or tight turn it is much more difficult. Is this normal? I am assuming it's because all 4 wheels are turning so it makes sharp turns harder. My wife brought this up to me cause she was trying to park in a parking spot today at the doctors office and it was tough so I tried to recreate it and it is tough. Pretty much if the wheels are locked to the right or left while in 4x4 mode it is tougher to turn. You almost have to straighten your wheels to move.

Sound normal?

Sounds normal if you're turning in 4WD.

Ok cool. That is what I was thinking also.
This is my first 4wd vehicle so I wasn't sure.

Thanks!

Yeah, don't run with the 4 wheel drive engaged when you're driving on dry pavement. It can bind on the turns and damage the drivetrain.

To scare yourself sh!tless, make a sharp turn in 4x4, stop and then put the tranny in P. :D
