2010 coolant contamination

I think I am happy about this......
Took my 2010 Se with 52k on it for an oil change today
They came back & said I had a slight trace of coolant in my trans fluid.
Wanted me to come back Tuesday & drop it off for a new Radiator
Said no way Don't want to damage the trans So they kept it & gave me a loaner (Murano) (god the cvt sucks has nothing off the line)
When I get it back Wednesday I will scan in the reciept.
I have till 7-2017 till I am out of warranty so hopefully if the trans is damaged it will happen before that.
So question with the new radiator should I still do the bypass when past the 8 year mark or is the replacement part trouble free??

You shouldn't need to bypass it. There haven't been any reported cooler problems to my knowledge regarding the current, "updated" Nissan radiators or any of the aftermarkets units.

Did they flush the transmission fluid as well? "trace amount" could mean anything, but either way I wouldn't be comfortable with any coolant in my transmission fluid.

Wow and this is on a 2010 model? I thought they were all fixed by then unless maybe it was built in late 2009 or early 2010 before the fix?

Nope, '10 models are included in the extended warranty. Gotta get an '11 to be in the clear. Hopefully

They only gave me the receipt with no prices ( I asked for the other was told no as Nissan pays less then a consumer) so when he was not looking I took a picture

Yes, Nissan pays less...and the technician doing all the work gets paid less, as well!

As does the dealership. And that my friends is why all dealers don't like to give away warranty repairs all willy nilly.

There's another reason: Nissan compares a dealers customer pay work with their warranty work. If they deem the percentage of warranty work is too high compared to the customer pay, they may audit the dealer, which is something no dealer wants!
