So its time for a set of spark plugs. I know it's answered some where before but cant seem to find it. Can i use copper plugs instead of laser platinum ? I wont run 30k before 5 years so inboth cases it's going to be a long time before i change them. Can i get coppers and save some cash ?

I think our vehicles require platinum plugs so I would suggest to stick to them at least. Or you could step up to iridium plugs but they cost more obviously. NGK does make lower end platinum and iridium plugs, but I think it is rated for a lower mileage like 60k.

PLFR5A11 (stock #6240) NGK Platinum plugs are what our trucks came with from the factory on 2005-2007. I believe they are rated for 105,000 miles.

DILFR5A11 (Stock #93759) NGK Iridium plugs are what came factory on 2008-2012 years. I think they are rated for 105,000 miles also.

Platinums are available from rockauto:

I just changed mine. I got them from Amazon, shipped to my house for about $50. I went back with original from factory.

You can change them without removing the intake

Um guys. OP is from Lebanon according to his location. I don't think RockAuto and Amazon are options.

Online is no option. I can find them but oem are 80$ vs 12$ for coppers.

You should be fine with Copper as long as you're aware of the shorter life.

What part of Lebanon do you call home? I've always wanted to visit.

Im from the south, but lebanon is 140 miles long so its not a large place. If you would like to visit, August is a great time. A lot of places to visit and a lot of activities.

You can use any of these NGK plugs:

V-power #6376 (Copper core with "V" groove in electrode, 30000 mi)
G-power #5018 (Economy platinum tip plug, 60000 mi)
Iridium IX #4469 (economy iridium tip plug, 60000 mi)
Laser Platinum #6240 (Double platinum, original equipment plug, 105000 mi)
OE Laser Iridium #93759 (Iridium center electrode with platinum pad ground electrode, original equipment on '08-'12 V6, 105000 mi)

Personally, I would stick with the #6240, but if you want to go to a less expensive plug, the G-platinum is a better option than the V-power, IMO. They aren't much more than the V-powers in terms of cost and offer better performance and twice the longevity.
