Sry to bother u all..but really frustrated..
before I bought this 05 pathfinder I could hear belt noise...so changed the belt..
drove for a while so quiet buy now it's back..wtf...
any ieas anyone..
hoping it's not a pulley..
at start up it does it all the time..once warmed it seems to go away at a stop light...but give it some gas and it's back...

Try changing the tensioner. That's where the noise was coming on mine and I just swapped it at the same time as I did the belts around 80k. Still quiet now approaching 140k.

I am told it could be rust on a pulley..the belt becomes rusty also.

the 05s had a TSB on the tensioner pulley, there is an updated part. Cheap and easy to do.

Order an OEM tensioner and you'll be good. There are several online dealers...I've used courtesyparts.com before. Tensioner is around $50.

can you describe the noise, and did you get an OEM belt, or aftermarket?
also, some of the early R51s had a belt pulley alignment issue causing the noise
here is a link to our other topic on the matter
the service bulletin is mentioned in it:

my OR model does the same, generally by the time it's backed out of the garage, it's gone
the SE never does it
both have original belts & tensioners
BTW: aftermarket belts usually don't seem to work well on these engines

The aftermarket version of the TSB units is called a serpentine belt enhancement kit. It's an updated tensioner and the belt is a hair shorter. I would just stick with the genuine parts per the TSB.
