The Nissan Path

Ive only had this vehicle less than a month now, but is it me or does the stock v6 sound very weak? it almost reminds me of a little 4banger civic?
I don't want to sounds like a f350 or anything, but its got no meat to it. I hear more of the engine noise than I do from the exhaust.
I have seen some posts on new exhaust systems and a couple on new mufflers, but if I just add a better muffler and a new tip, will that give me a decently deep sound or will I still have the whiney engine noise too ?

Mine definitely doesn't sound weak and is all stock.

Mine sounded okay, stock. Now, I got Doug Thorley headers, Doug Thorley mid-pipes (which remove the rear catalytic converters) and replaced the stock muffler with a Magnaflow 12580, leaving on the post muffler. It sounds great, now, especially after the muffler breaks in!
