Superchips tuner - group buy 20% discount now available

Postby bigriver » Sun Dec 14, 2008 11:59 am

This group buy is now in full swing. The group buy discount is 20% ($85.30 savings) and if you order on or before 12/23/08 you will get free ground shipping.

Send me a pm if you are interested in receiving the discount code. You will be ordering directly from Superchips (online or over the phone).

How much would it cost to ship to Canada?

I tried the code and used T7E zip code for Alberta and the free ground shipping option showed up so I am assuming it would be free if you order on or before 12/23/08.

I sent the discount code to the both of you. Go to www.superchips.com to place the order.

Thanks!

It's an active discount code now so it should be around for a while.

Only the free ground shipping lasts until 12/23/08.

don't worry, it'll happen. they are working on the '08 titan right now and the '08 pathfinder and frontier will be next.

Hi Bigriver,

The superchips site is rather basic on the info they provide (unless I missed something).

Do you know if the tuner has an impact on fuel mileage (either positive or negative)?

Also, does the unit need to stay pluged in on a daily basis or only if you're doing logging?

There are 4 tunes, including a gas saver (Mileage XS) which improves mpg. I use the performance tune, which improve my mpg very slightly. but with the WOT restriction disabled, the truck is so much fun to drive that i have to really try hard not to punch it every now and then.

You only keep the tuner plugged in to do data logging (just like scangauge). Otherwise after you do a tune, you unplug the tuner.

Typically they get extra power partly due to leaning out the A/F mixture, which improves fuel economy. But then with the extra oomph, people tend to get on the go pedal harder than they would otherwise so a lot generally experience lower fuel economy.

I sent you a PM. I almost ordered the thing, but realized there would be taxes/duty at the border, plus probably brokerage. At least if its shipping from the US. Anyone shipped to Canada yet? Whats the bad news at the border?

Also really interested to know what the % increase in fuel economy would be on the fuel saver mode.

Let me know.
Thanks
