I am having a fuel problem and my 2006 pathfinder wont start

I was told that it was a code P0496 or something like that but they said it was a fuel sensor of some kind and that is why it won't start for me. Is there anyone out there that knows any helpfull information on this kind of problem? Any info would be most appreciated so please help. Thanks for your time.
